So yesterday I stop at a robot and the KLR just dies on me and does not want to start.
Guy who always service the bike comes and collect as it was serviced 500km ago.
Get a call this morning that he tested and there is NO compression.....

Bike has done 71000km without giving one day of problems and now just died on me.

So what am I looking at????

The KLR has a compression release system that depresses one of the exhaust valves. So the reading might not be true.

Or you could have a broken valve, a hole in the piston or something else.

Check the battery. The new shapes don't like running with a battery that is on it's last legs. Hopefully it is not a too expensive repair/fix.
