Welded on my left footpeg after the better quality SW-Motech bolt ground the existing KLR metal thread smooth.
A motto that I beat into granite, with my size 13's, during my introduction to my personal kindergarten: "It will kill me, but you first!"

Replaced the old worn, loose gear shift lever with a brand new one which I also extended by 3cm.

What a treat! Shifting is easy again! B) :)

I like the sizing and quality of the BMW Motorad softbags so I got hold of a 2nd hand small and large bag. Been working on a design to fit them onto our KLR racks. Due to the way they utilize a sleeve underneath, and their tapered shape a new base was needed.
I first worked on designing an adaptor plate to bolt onto the existing rack, but it became too cumbersome and needed spacers and all sorts so I am making a completely new rack. Attached image shows the base shape which is a hybrid KLR rear/GS front shape. The idea is to have a universal base with mounting place for soft bags, Givi top box base, and Pelican case.

Plates came today so I will start on the custom side mounts which will be "W" shaped to have an extra lug in place which will allow quick mounting and removal of side pannier braces without constant fiddling of the existing frame and base bolts.

I'll post final pics once its all powder coated & assembled.

Let's do dirty!

I got myself one of these and fitted it two days ago. I will not say that it is the be-all and end-all of KLR seat comforts, but it does improve the seat a lot, especially with the fact that one no longer "slide forward" the whole time.

One day I will die, but on all the others I will not, so on those days I will live it to the fullest!!

We are in the making of Tank Vests.

We make them ourselves, so they are "Custom Made "

Pictures attached (still busy with the small bags and finishing touches)

Any remarks, comments ??

Hello. The colour of my 2010 KLR tank is Candy Persimmon Red and after my "prang" I battled to get someone to match the colour here in PE. I will definitely go for something like this.

Kwagga
