Apparently Triumph is pulling out of SA. http://thebikeshow.co.za/triumph-uk-south-africa-part-ways/

The 800 XCX is now R120k new. 1200 Explorer R159k

I am so tempted, but it is probably not a good idea :-(

I can just imagine what it is doing to the second hand market.
Am looking at a Thruxton / Bonnie
Love the old school

I would not mind a street scrambler... One of the most beautiful bikes on the road for me!

Apparently KMSA is causing too much grief so they're looking for new importers. Hole Shot sold more bikes in a few hours than they normally do in a month and they don't have much left
MB50, RD350, XT500, RD350, GPZ500, F650GS DAKAR, F650GS, R1200GS, DT125, R1200GS ADV. , XR125, R1200GS ADV. , KLR650.

So you are saying I must have my mind made up by tomorrow morning?

I really like the 800 Tiger, but it seems like there are a lot of threads on WD that complains about expensive issues like starters, cam chains, valves etc.

Have had a Tiger 800 ABS since 2012, only issue apart from some asshole ramming my son midships is the service bulletin dealing with the spring return on the gear lever (for my 2011), this was attended to by Mike Hopkins, super service, the bike has just under 60k on the clock and my son loves it.
If you are looking for a Tiger, go 800, the 1200 is too top heavy, but has sooooo much power it makes a GS1200 look like a Ford Ka

it just shows you the profit margins these mofos make!
40 grand off the price (and then they still probably make a little...)
maak my moerig...

drop your profit margins, make the bikes more affordable for more people, sell more units, therefore sell more accessories and make more on more services more often... but nooooooooooo - let's schnaaai the rich asses with 50% markup margins (and thus pricing yourself out of the market...)

stupid!
POWER (and skill) MEAN NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL
MB50, MBX50, MTX50, RD125, GS550, XL200, '84KLR600, '07KLR650, '08KLR650
